Day 1: Flight to Pisa airport
Short flight from Poland and we'll see you at the airport where our guide will pick you up. The comfortable hotel is nearby, and there, the rest of the team and our fleet of R18 motorcycles are waiting, ready to hit the Tuscan roads.
Day 2: Pontedera - Pisa - Lucca - 251 km
On this day, we have not only a lot of riding ahead of us, with over 250 km to cover, but also plenty of interesting attractions. We will start the day with a visit to the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera, where you can admire a collection of iconic Vespa scooters, from their beginnings to the latest models. The next stop will be Pisa and its famous cathedral with the world-renowned Leaning Tower. From Pisa, we will head to see another curiosity, the Devil's Bridge (Ponte del Diavolo), a bridge built in the 13th century, according to legend, by the devil himself in just one night. Finally, we will visit the walled town of Lucca with its famous market square built inside the remains of a Roman amphitheater. We will spend some extra time here to explore and experience the local cuisine specialties.
Day 3: Volterra - San Gimignano - Chianti - 195km
On today's route, two Tuscan gems await us, guided by picturesque Tuscan roads. The first one is Volterra, known for its rich history, architectural landmarks, and handmade alabaster crafts. Volterra boasts well-preserved defensive walls that offer panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The second one is San Gimignano, often referred to as the medieval Manhattan due to its towers. The town has retained its medieval character, and the narrow streets, picturesque squares, and well-preserved walls make strolling through this city a unique experience. It is also the birthplace of the world-renowned Vernaccia di San Gimignano wine, which we will not miss the opportunity to taste.
Day 4: Passo Muraglione – Passo Futa – Mugello – 227km
This time we head north, where plenty of fantastic bends and incredible views await us. First, we'll tackle the winding roads of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, including the beloved Muraglione Pass, which once connected Florence and Bologna and is cherished by motorcyclists. Next, we'll explore the twisty roads and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains at the Futa Pass, which is part of the historic Via Flaminia Militare route used by the military during World War II. Lastly, we'll make a stop at the Mugello Circuit, one of the most prestigious motorsport venues in Italy, hosting events like the MotoGP Grand Prix.
Day 5: Montereggioni – San Galgano – Siena – 210 km
We head south in Tuscany, and on our picturesque route, several true gems await us. Our first stop will be Monteriggioni, a charming medieval town known for its well-preserved defensive walls. Here, time seems to stand still. According to fans of fantasy literature, Monteriggioni served as inspiration for the fictional city of "Minas Tirith" in J.R.R. Tolkien's novel "The Lord of the Rings." Next, we'll venture to San Galgano, where we'll discover the impressive ruins of a 12th-century Cistercian abbey, including the famous "Rotonda di Montesiepi" and the legendary Sword in the Stone. After exploring the abbey, we'll make our way to Siena, renowned for its Gothic architecture, and enjoy a meal at the Piazza del Campo.
Day 6: Pistoia- Museum Ferrari– 315 km
Ahead of us lies a solid stretch of road and a very specific destination - the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, which we will reach via local roads through Pistoia. And once we arrive, you will be greeted by Formula 1 cars and the fastest cars bearing the black horse emblem. A real treat for every automotive enthusiast!
Day 7: Val D’0rcia – Pienza – Montepulciano - Cortona – 268 km
Cappuccino, cornetto con crema, and we can hit the road. Today is definitely a day for sightseeing. We head towards Val d'Orcia, the most beautiful valley in Tuscany, where postcard-perfect views have been captured by filmmakers and photographers. The route takes us through scenic roads of Pienza, where scenes of Maximus returning home were filmed in the movie Gladiator. Then we visit the charming towns of Montepulciano and Cortona, the famous setting of the film "Under the Tuscan Sun". Return to the hotel from Cortona.
Day 8: Flight back to Poland
After breakfast at the hotel reception, a transfer will be waiting for you to take you to the airport. After a short return flight, you will land at Warsaw Airport (or another destination airport).
